Ship Building and Ship Repairing
Harin Group has a long history since 1948 when Harinpanich Co., Ltd.
was founded by Koon-Nipatharinsuit. The Company first engaged in building
and operating small wooden fishing boats, passenger boats, and coastal cargo
boats. With much experience and good reputation, the Company was awarded
a contract by the Fishery Department in 1961 to build the first two Thai bottom
trawlers and to engage in deep-sea fishing experiments with the German experts.
After the successful experiment, the German experts, Fishing Department officials, together with Harinpanich were responsible for teaching other Thai
fishermen the new deep sea fishing techniques. Those first two trawlers became
the model for present day Thai bottom trawlers and started the new fishing era
in Thailand.
In 1973 when our trawlers began to fish in international water as far as
the Indian Ocean, Harinpanich, under Mr. Amphol Harinsuit's guidance, was the pioneer in installing Refrigeration Units onboard and convinced the Thai market
to accept frozen marine products after initial resistance.
Having built over 80 wooden trawlers and coastal cargo vessels, Harinpanich
began to expand into steel ship repairing in 1978 with the establishment of Harin
Shipbuilding Co., Ltd.. Harin Group now operates shipyards at 3 locations, offering
services for ships of various types, ranging from pleasure boats to oil tankers,
cargo boats, patrol boats, and dredgers.
Harin shipyards have always maintained solid reputation for providing fast,
efficient, and economical services for repairing vessels for all our customers both
in the private sector and various Thai Government agencies. |
