Bhumindr Harinsuit

Mr. Bhumindr Harinsuit has served as the Managing Director of Harinsuit Transport for over 30 years.

Mr. Bhumindr also sits on Executive Boards and Board of Directors of other shipping companies that he helped found with businesses across all sectors of the shipping industry

As a well-respected veteran in the shipping business, he is frequently consulted and appointed to numerous positions in both public and private sectors. From 2001 to 2004 he served as the Advisor on maritime affairs for 1st Vice President of the Senate. He was instrumental in helping the government drafted a piece of legislation to promote maritime industry in Thailand. He has also been a Special Advisor on Commercial Shipping for Thailand’s Ministry of Transportation since 2005.

Since 2006, Mr. Bhumindr has been the Chairman of the Thai Shipowners’ Association

In the international arena, Mr. Bhumindr was elected the chairman of the Federation of ASEAN Shipowners’ Association between 2005 to 2007. He has also been serving on the Board of Directors for Standard Steamship Owners Protection and Indemnity (P&I) Association (Bermuda) Limited.

Mr. Bhumindr graduated from University of Tennessee in 1976 with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.

Kachaphol Harinsuit

Kachaphol ‘Pep’ Harinsuit joined Harin Transport full-time in 2009 after contributing part-time in various capacities for the past decade. He currently oversees all aspects of the company’s operations from fleet management to finance and is in charge of new business development and expansion plan.

Prior to joining Harin Transport, Pep was an investment banker at JP Morgan Chase in Hong Kong and subsequently at Lehman Brothers’ Global Real Estate Group where he was involved in various proprietary principal real estate investments across South East Asia. Pep also spent 2 years as a management consultant at the Boston Consulting Group in Bangkok where he specialized in financial services, energy, and government-related projects.

Pep holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and an MBA from Harvard Business School

Captain Venus Pornprasert

Captain Venus Pornprasert obtained a Master Mariner Certificate in 1976. Prior to joining Harin Transport in 1989, Captain Venus has spent many years and gained extensive experience at sea

Captain Venus’s wealth of knowledge - expertise in dealing with foreign agencies and experience in traveling through international waters - proves invaluable in helping train new officers and captains for the company.

Captain Venus is currently the Port Manager and oversees the company’s crew, safe navigation, and documentation requirements.

Amphun Chusri

Ms. Amphun has been with Harin Transport Co, Ltd. since 1979 when the largest ship of the Company was only 400 tons. Her commercial mindset and hard-work have been instrumental in helping Harin Transport maintain strong relationships with customers such as the Charoen Pokphand Group and the Siam Cement Group over the years.

Ms. Amphun is in charge of the Company’s commercial operations

Pichet Yodvichien

Mr. Pichet is the current Technical Manager at Harin Transport. He began his maritime career at the Regional Shipping Lines (RCL) where he quickly progressed through the ranks from a young ship engineer trainee into a chief engineer for RCL’s ocean-going vessels. Throughout his 11 years at sea, he served aboard vessels of various sizes and threaded across Asia.

On shore, Mr. Pichet has worked extensively as technical superintendent where he oversaw new ship constructions, repairs, and maintenance of various types of ships from tug boats, to container ships, to chemical, NGV, and LPG carriers.

Mr. Pichet graduated from Thailand’s Merchant Marine Training Center with a bachelor’s degree in 1995.
